Day 25 - Lamorna Cove to St Michael's Mount/Marazion - 9 Miles

I was tired this morning and was up a bit later than the day before. I went for a shower just before 8am. I'd decided on the bike option again for the day, so put the rack and bike on the back of the car and set off. It was quite late – about 9.30am by the time I'd had some breakfast and written up the last of yesterday's diary. I drove to Marazion, already getting bored of the route to Helston, and out towards Penzance. I found a signpost / fence to chain the bike to, after asking the car park attendant if it was ok to park up just while I chained the bike. He seemed impressed at my day's plan! I set off again in the car, this time only as far as Lamorna Cove. At least the journeys would be getting smaller over the next few days! Day 31 - Helford Passage to Falmouth docks - 9 Miles

I woke up to the sound of drizzly rain on the tent at about 5am! Only the tiniest of almost inaudible spots, but drizzle nonetheless and everyone I had spoken to the day before had said that the weather was supposed to be as good if not better today than it had been yesterday. I was really hoping this was to be the case as I had only planned to walk to Falmouth today and thought I would have time to stop off on a naturist beach I had read about called Arthur's Beach on the final approaches to Falmouth. Sigh.. it seems perhaps that my sunbathing plans are not to be this year!! I went back to sleep and snoozed on and off until my phone alarm went off at 7.30am.. a normal workday.. I'd forgotten to switch it off! No matter I was awake enough to get up anyway. I poked my head outside the tent and it was dull and overcast with low misty grey clouds... sigh.. certainly looked like it was in for the day!! Day 12 - Bude to Trebyla Farm Campsite, Beeny - 16 Miles

I was awake early, but not ridiculously so, as I sometimes can be on walking/camping holidays. That was probably because of my late night due to all the noise!! I went for a shower and then packed away the tent deciding I'd go and sit on the picnic tables by the shop at the entrance to the site, to write some of the diary while I awaited its opening to get supplies. While I sat there, the cafe opened and so I went for a bacon baguette. I didn't get too much diary written up.. hey ho! I called in the shop after eating and bought 2 litres of diet coke and then set off right along the lane to emerge in Flexbury near Crooklets Beach. The tide was in and so there wasn't oodles of sand evident. The cloud was high and bubbly this morning and rapidly breaking up to let the sun through, but it was quite breezy.
